This Saturday, I went to my old condo. Soon I got into my unit, my old neighbor start knocking my door. She is an over 70 years old lady. Usually, I fix her computer when I live there. She does not know much of computer even though she had been using computer for over 3 years.
After I went to her unit and start fixing the problem, there is no icon on the desktop(XP Home). Whole computer screen was empty. A window kept popup and saying the window system are full of virus, buy their software to clean the virus. I know in one second that the popup which trying to sell the so called anti-virus software are making trouble. There is no virus except the software which is running with popup windows. So, stop that popup software is the key to fix the computer.
I tried to open the registry but failed to open it. That must been blocked by that software. What is next, I can not even open the task manager to kill the process. So the last thing I can do is restart the computer and get into the safe mode by push F8 when booting up.
After I get into the safe mode, I quickly get into the registry and delete all the unnecessary programming from running when booting. Detail how to delete the unnecessary process check out the other article in this blog. http://fastyourcomputer.com/
After that, reboot the computer, every thing return to normal
